This type of container roof consists of a solid galvanised steel structure covered with a quality PVC tarpaulin weighing 650 to 900 g/m². It therefore provides reliable protection against rain, snow, wind and UV radiation. The galvanised steel structure of the shelter is protected against corrosion and, with proper maintenance, can serve for more than 20 years.

A container shelter has no internal posts, so its entire area can be used to the full. It is also a universal solution suitable for various types of operations and warehouses. Why choose shipping container shelters?

Simple, straightforward assembly

You can assemble a shipping container shelter yourself using the clear assembly manual and commonly available tools. For larger models, lifting equipment can make the job easier. During assembly you can call our technician for telephone support, or order professional erection and assembly.

Can be relocated and extended

Shipping container shelters can be dismantled and re-erected at another suitable location. Models are available with lengths matched to 6-metre and 12-metre shipping containers. If your requirements change over time, selected models can be extended with additional modules, so the container shelter can be adapted to new conditions and space.

Protection from adverse weather

Shipping container shelters provide protection from rain, snow, wind and UV radiation. The quality PVC covering and stable galvanised steel structure allow year-round use. Correct anchoring according to the specific model, type of base and on-site conditions is essential. Selected shelters can also be erected on a suitably prepared unpaved surface.

Why choose a shipping container shelter?
If you own shipping containers and need to expand your storage or working space, a shipping container shelter is a practical solution. It lets you create a protected space between two containers without building a complicated structure or incurring high construction costs.
Shipping container shelters can turn the existing space into a warehouse, garage, workshop or other storage protected from bad weather. And it is not just a temporary solution – quality container shelters can serve you for many years.
If you do not have shipping containers available, consider tent halls. If you need storage space temporarily, for a period of at least six months, hall rental may also be a suitable solution.
How can container shelters be used?
Container shelters have universal uses and you can adapt their space to your needs. Our range includes models 6, 8 and 10 metres wide, suitable for 6-metre or 12-metre shipping containers. They are most often used as:

Storage space: They are an ideal place to store materials, tools, machinery and other items that need protection from the weather.
Garages for vehicles and machinery: They provide protection for cars and for agricultural and construction machinery. Other options for protecting machinery are described in the article: a tractor garage as the ideal solution for machinery.
Workshops and assembly areas: They create a covered space for assembly work, maintenance and repairs.
Temporary workplaces: They serve as a mobile covered space, particularly suitable for construction companies working in the field.

Assembly of container shelters

Preparing the base: A container shelter generally does not require continuous solid foundations, but the base must be level, stable and suitably prepared. The anchoring method must be adapted to the surface and the specific shelter model.
Simple and quick assembly: Under suitable conditions, a smaller shelter can be erected within one day using commonly available tools. The exact time depends on the size of the structure, the readiness of the site and the number of workers.
Use of lifting equipment: For larger models we recommend using a forklift, loader or other suitable equipment to make assembly easier and faster.
Assembly instructions and technical support: Detailed assembly instructions are included with the delivery, and during assembly you can use telephone support from our technician. On request we can also arrange professional assembly of the shelter.

Frequently asked questions

Shipping container shelters consist of a solid steel hall structure covered with a durable PVC tarpaulin. This solution provides protection from rain, snow, wind and UV radiation and creates a covered space with no internal posts.

Our range includes shelters 6, 12, 18 or 24 metres long and models 6, 8 or 10 metres wide. The right size should be chosen according to the length of the shipping container, the available space and the planned use of the shelter.

If the product is in stock, delivery usually takes 3 to 5 working days. Smaller and medium-sized shelters can be assembled in a single day under suitable conditions; for larger installations assembly may take two to three days.

The galvanised steel structure can serve for more than 20 years with proper maintenance. The service life of the PVC tarpaulin depends on its weight, how it is used, weather conditions, regular maintenance and correct tensioning. 650 g/m² tarpaulin lasts 15 to 20 years; the 900 g/m² version approximately 20 to 25 years.

As a general rule, shipping container shelters withstand winds of up to 100 km/h. The PVC tarpaulin can also handle a fair amount of snow, but if the layer exceeds 10 cm we recommend removing it. This prevents excessive loading of the structure and extends the life of the material.

Yes, a shipping container shelter can be dismantled and re-erected at another suitable location. Before relocating, check the condition of the structure and tarpaulin, prepare the new base and choose the right anchoring method. Lifting equipment may be needed for larger models.
